Mumbai, December 13: “God is our father and the cow is our mother. She gives endless love and affection. But only a cow herder can realise it,” said leading saint and renowned Ramkatha Vachak Shri Morai Bapu. He was addressing a gathering of goubhaktas at Borivali in Mumbai today.
Underlying the five special qualities of the cow, the leading saint said the cow is full of vatsalya (affection), mamata (sense of owning), sahansheelata (tolerance), tyaga (sacrifice), and is fully capable of bearing the burden of the whole family. “It is not we who rear the cow but it is the cow that rears us. A cow can easily fulfill the needs of a family of five members,” he said.
He said the eye of the cow is like of a human being and we can see the whole universe in it. Bapu called upon the countrymen to set aside the tenth part of their whole income for the works to be done for the welfare of the world every month. He said this practice should begin from Delhi and reach should upto the village level.
National vice president of the Yatra Shri Hukumchand Sanwala said the word gaya (cow) developed with the first letters of the Ganga and the Yamuna, which symbolize that the cow not only washes all sins but also grants mokash (salvation). Ridiculing the tendency of using large quantity chemical fertilizers in the fields, he said if the food, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides are all of foreign made how the love to the own country can develop in the heart of the people. He said only the cow-based agriculture would first benefit Bharat and then the whole world. He said only the cow of Indian breed cows can help in producing Shivaji-like sons.
Shri Labh Singh Batra of Gurudwara Samiti said no problem would be resolved till the Hindus of the country are divided. “If half of the Hindu society takes up the cause of cow protection unitedly, there is no power in the country that can stop the enactment of an anti-cow slaughter law in Bharat,” he said.
Spreading the message of cow protection the Vishwa Mangal Gou Gram Yatra passed through Ghatakopar, Paral and Santakrooj and reached Borivali. The meeting organised at Sai Maidan was addressed by Gokarna Peethadhishwar Shri Raghaveshwar Bharati Swamiji, Swami Akhileshwaranand of Jabalpur, Swami Rambalak Das of Chhattisgarh, Asha Didi of Gayatri Parivar, Swami Manaharanand Maharaj of Bhakti Jnana Sadhana Sanstha, Swami Nityaswarupdas of Swami Narayan sect, Shri Devakinanda of VHP Konkan Prant and national president of the Yatra Samiti Dr HR Nagendra.
